Cooling for cold and freezer storage
Prevent failure of your cooling system
In a cold or freezer storage, a constant temperature is crucial. Even small fluctuations affect the shelf life and quality of the stored products. Temperature peaks place additional strain on the cooling system, resulting in increased wear and tear and higher energy costs. Overloading can reduce performance and cause malfunctions. Adiabatic pre-cooling cools the incoming air, reducing the load on the cooling system. This saves energy and keeps the cooling system working optimally.

Prevent overloading of the cooling system
At high temperatures, the cooling system runs at full capacity. Because the system then has to cool using warm outside air, the load increases significantly. The higher the outside temperature rises, the harder the condenser has to work to dissipate the heat. This can reduce performance and even lead to overload, causing the temperature in cold or frozen storage to rise slowly.
The consequences of this can be:
- Loss of quality
- Spoilage
- Shortened shelf life
It is therefore important that the cooling system always continues to operate optimally. This applies to products such as foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, flowers, plants and chemicals.
Adiabatic pre-cooling
In adiabatic pre-cooling, the incoming air is pre-cooled by means of adiabatic humidification before it reaches the condenser. This relieves the cooling system and ensures more efficient operation, with less chance of malfunctions or breakdowns. It also reduces wear and tear on your cooling system, which extends its service life. Each litre of atomised water provides a cooling capacity of 0.68 kW.
Reduce energy consumption of the cooling system
If the incoming air is cooled before it enters the condenser, the cooling system does not have to work as hard. As a result, the system requires less energy to achieve the desired cooling capacity. This results in lower energy bills, especially during high temperature peaks.

Optimal cooling system performance
Ensure that your cooling system always continues to perform optimally, even at higher temperatures. Adiabatic pre-cooling reduces the load on your cooling system and lowers your energy costs.
