WaterFresh

The WaterFresh® concept is an important part of our installations, ensuring Legionella safety. Its many features include ensuring that there is no standing water left within the humidification and water treatment installations.

Safety features preventing water stagnation are integrated into Cumulus® installations as standard. At Cumulus®, we call this feature the WaterFresh® concept.

The WaterFresh® control ensures that water is never left standing in pipes or equipment for long periods, preventing stagnation. The risk of harmful bacterial growth is minimised, even for untreated water. The WaterFresh® concept is standard on Cumulus® ultrasonic, air-assisted and high-pressure humidification systems. WaterFresh® control is also generally standard on a reverse osmosis installation.

As well as WaterFresh® control, additional safeguards such as a UV-C desinfection unit or a reverse osmosis installation may be used.

Cumulus® explicitly do not apply techniques involving biocides, such as silver ionisation, as these are not authorised by the Ctgb (Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides) (ref. page of ISSO 55.3).

Cumulus® can take one or more water samples for you, to be tested by an accredited STER laboratory for the presence of legionella bacteria.

You will then be sent the results, complete with an analysis report. This report should be kept with your Health & Safety file in order to show that the appropriate risk assessment (RI&E) has been carried out.
