Effects humidity on people

In offices, schools and cinemas, humidity mainly affects people. Poor air quality, inadequete (or missing) climate control and aerosols or other (chemical) dirt in the air create a pathogenic climate (sick building syndrome).

The solution to sick building syndrome is very simple: a humidity level between 40% and 60%. This will make employees more productive and less likely to call in sick. Benefits of good humidity:

· Viruses spread less quickly

· No dust formation in rooms (asthmatics)

· No irritated eyes (lens wearers)

· No irritated or dry throat.

· Healthy mucous membranes ensure a strong immune system

In short: the right humidity ensures a more comfortable, healthier and more productive working environment.

Effect humidity on materials

Many artworks and music instruments are very sensitive to too dry or too humid air. This is because works of art and music instruments often contain wood, paper or linen. If the ambient air is too dry, these materials lose moisture to the ambient air. As the materials become drier, they shrink and may crack. Fluctuations should therefore be avoided.

Often the air is too dry in the cold winter months or in summer when the cooling system is used. A humidity level between 40 - 60% prevents moisture from being extracted from an artwork. This directly increases the lifespan of art. Benefits of good humidit.

  • Durable protection against cracking
  • Durable protection against shrinkag
  • Protect artwork and antiquites for future generations

Fixed humidifier

The fixed humidifier is a durable humidification system, it is installed in the technical room of your premises. From this technical room, we install humidifiers where it is most effective and efficient.

Advantages of a fixed humidifier:

  • A silent installation
  • Low energy consumption
  • A hygienic indoor climate
  • A payback period of 1-3 yers on average

Summary

In offices, schools and cinemas, humidity mainly affects people. Poor air quality, inadequate (or lack of) climate control and aerosols or other (chemical) dirt in the air create a pathogenic climate (sick building syndrome). What can you do to prevent this? Install a humidifier, benefits of the fixed humidifier:

  • A silent installation
