Our blog today is dedicated to the ‘Day of the Entrepreneur’ and we would like to highlight our entrepreneur Wil Sampers.
Besides being an entrepreneur, Wil is married and has two daughters. He is a mechanical engineer and in his spare time he likes to go diving. This is a great passion of his. Becoming an entrepreneur doesn't happen overnight. Wil's ambition to eventually be able to draw his own plan and be at the steering wheel himself has made him the entrepreneur he is today. Making a difference, in this case to create a better indoor climate, is also what drives the entrepreneur at Cumulus.
'Cumulus suits my passion for technology as an engineer and Cumulus' proposition appealed to me,' says Wil Sampers when asked about his acquisition of the company. 'Cumulus is big enough to get great projects done, but also small enough to manoeuvre dynamically and tackle everything energetically.'
Wil's motivations and what he likes to get out of bed for are, on the one hand, to help customers move forward with a good solution. On the other, to see the organisation grow and get everything done.
Creating socially responsible value in an honest and fair way is Wil's vision of entrepreneurship. 'Employees should be able to develop.' According to Sampers, a successful entrepreneur possesses the traits: being persistent, being opinionated, being a good listener (both to the customer and the employee), being able to motivate and being an inspiration.
Finally, we asked Wil Sampers to finish the following sentence: “I am not satisfied until ...” To which he replied: 'Until Cumulus is on the map in Europe.'
